How to measure your dog for a bed (without the guesswork)

Most return headaches start with a bed that looked right online and felt wrong at home. Five minutes with a soft tape measure fixes most of that.

Have your dog lie in their favorite nap pose. Measure from nose to base of tail, then from paw to paw across the shoulders. Add a few inches if they sprawl. Compare those numbers to the size chart on the product page — when you are between sizes, size up.

Think about where the bed will live. A bolster bed by the sofa may work smaller than a primary overnight bed. If your dog digs and turns before settling, give them room to complete the ritual.

Finally, check washing instructions before the first muddy week. A beautiful bed is only beautiful if you can keep it that way.
